The Apologetic Liberal

  If you believe, as I do, that Barack Obama is this country’s best hope for regaining it’s footing in the world.  I think that he’s just enough politician to get elected, and just honest enough to restore balance to the force.  But winning takes money, and since Barack Obama has chosen not to use the Public Financing (= free money with a catch), he’ll need private donations from you and me.  The best thing in the world we can do for a politician to make sure he truly belongs to all of us, is for all of us to give something.  $5, $30, whatever you can afford, what ever you think getting out of this war in Iraq is worth to you.  Whatever you think having a health care system that works is worth to you.  Whatever you think removing our drug-like dependency on oil is worth.  And I want to help.  So far I’ve gotten $500 in donations through my own Obama fundraising portal.  I’m 10% to my goal of $5000 dollars.  I’ve already donated a fair lump to the campaign, but I want to go one step further and give you an incentive.  I will match the next $1000 donated through my fundraising portal.  Together we can elect a president with morals, ethics, common sense, intelligence, and who owes We the People, and not they the corporations.
